Faith-Seeker Series Part 2: How can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart?

Today, we continue our faith-seekers series and I wanted to tackle a very tough topic. How can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart? Gosh, that is such a honest question and I would bet many of us, including myself, have asked this a time or two in our lives. Do not feel like you are less than a Christian if you have asked this question before. We are human. We are not perfect. There is no harm in asking honest questions when you’re searching for an answer. The harm can happen when you’re asking this question in the absence of wanting an answer. So if you are open to hearing this world and truly finding your answer to your question “how can I have faith when everything around me is falling apart?”, keep listening. Our suffering sure does allow us a chance to blame God as a way to make us feel better. We have thoughts like “How is God a good Father yet He allows this happen? -- If He loved me, He wouldn’t allow me to suffer like this -- Because, in the end, God is not here for us and our comfort. We are here to praise Him and give Him glory. Your struggles, your sufferings, yeah they’re no fun. No one wants to suffer. But when you do, or if you are currently suffering, you get to choose what to do with your suffering: Are you going to see it as an opportunity to mature your faith? To be  like Job and still praise God’s name even in the middle of the storm? Are you going to shine through your struggles so the people around you see how strong and mature your faith is?
