Faith over Fear: Trust the Process

The background of the title is actually an inspiration from my husband’s football team. Their team motto is TTP- Trust the process. It serves as their daily reminder that in order to be a force to be reckoned with, in order to see the end result they want (which is obviously to win games), they have to trust the process. They have to trust that the pain of a vigorous weight lifting program will pay off. They have to trust that many hours of tough practices will pay off. They have to trust the one in charge, the coaches, that they really know what they are doing and they have your best interest at heart. Does this sound familiar to you? Maybe God’s motto for your life sounds a whole lot like TTP? "Trust the process, Valarie." - God In order for you to be a force to be reckoned with as a warrior woman of God, you have to TTP. In order for you to see the end result I want for your life, you have to trust the process. You have to trust that the pain of a vigorous season in your life will pay off. You have to trust that the many hours of tough circumstances will pay off. You have to trust the one in charge, your ultimate coach in life, God, really does know what He is doing and He truly has your best interest at heart!! And what better story to remind us to trust the process than the ultimate “trust the process” story of Joseph in the Old Testament.Isn’t our God a God that can turn beauty from ashes? Isn’t our God a God that can tell dead, dry bones to rise up? So how come, in my own rotten situation, I don’t remind myself of those things? Why do I allow the devil to take my rotten situation and cause me harm? Yep, we allow the devil to stay. We allow him to stay because we allow our rotten situation to turn our thoughts rotten. We don’t stop to remind ourselves to TTP!
