BONUS EPISODE - How should I respond to what is going on in the world as a Christian woman

Hey friends. I hope you guys are doing ok with everything that happened just a few days ago. I wasn’t going to address it, I don’t get political on my platforms. But as I was taking a shower this evening, I had a lot of thoughts. And I felt that prompting by God to record this bonus episode. I knew it was a prompting from God because I sat on the couch for about 45 minutes thinking through my thoughts still, trying to ignore the fact that I had the voice inside of me telling me to address this. And Valarie from 2 years ago probably would have ignored that inner voice. But Valarie of now teaches and preaches obedience and stepping into God’s will. So I have to practice what I preach. This episode is meant for my sister who watched what unfolded at Capitol Hill this past Wednesday, saw her newsfeed turn into a war zone once again, and her heart is just unsettled and she doesn’t quite know how to think or feel. She has this mixture of emotions: anger, confusion, frustration. She maybe wants to get loud and opinionated on social media, show some people who are wrong what right really is. But, you also have that Holy Spirit inside of you telling you maybe staying low is the best idea. And your flesh and Spirit are in conflict.
