Are your habits suffocating your growth?

God Is Within Her - a women’s devotional podcast - A podcast by Valarie Reynolds

Today, I want to talk about habits. I think we all can agree there are good habits and bad habits. Some of us have good eating habits. We eat healthy foods, lots of fruits and veggies, avoiding processed sugars, avoiding too much of a good thing like carbs or fats. You do things in moderation and you make good choices. Others of us have bad eating habits. We give our bodies empty calories, too much processed food, too many sugars, too many carbs, too much sodium. And have you ever tried to break that bad habit? You know your body needs more fruits and veggies...but you find yourself going back to the same old bad eating habit. You know better! But knowing and doing are two totally different things. And more often than not, the bad habit eventually starts winning again. Now that’s about a physical habit, but we have spiritual habits too.Just as our bodies need healthy foods to maintain our energy and physiology in the right way, our spirit also needs it’s healthy portions of God’s word, grace, and love in order to remain healthy. But some of us suffer from bad eating habits for our spirit. We want to fill our souls up with God’s promises, but we still want to entertain the lies and deceit that come from the devil. We want to walk more closely with God, but we can’t seem to shake that inner voice of shame and guilt telling us we aren’t worthy enough. And this can make us feel helpless. It can make us struggle with our belief in God. It can cause us to constantly feel like we will never be good enough to walk confidently on the journey He has prepared for us. So today’s episode is titled “Are your habits suffocating your growth?” Because if they are, we are going to put a stop to them today. Today, we are going to draw a line in the sand, leaving our old habits behind us and we are going to step into our truths and promises CONFIDENTLY. Because you actually can break your old habits. You are not chained to them. Those chains can be broken. Your old self is gone today. You will walk in your new truths TODAY.IG: @thebeautifullyenoughpodcastFB: Valarie ReynoldsMusic: https://www.purple-planet.com Support the showWork with me // www.valreynolds.comConnect with me // @val_reynoldsCollab with me // [email protected]
