My name is Betsy Pake, and I’m an author, speaker, and a master mindset coach focused on helping you understand and design your life with the power of your subconscious. This podcast is designed to help you think differently about what could be possible for your life. Now, let’s go live big. Good morning fellow adventurers. Happy Monday. This is our intention episode, our shorter episode of The Week, Thursday will be the full episode. And I’ve been liking doing these episodes simply because it helps me to center and get my intention and think forward through the week. And I hope you guys are enjoying them too. Whether you join me and my intention or come up with your own. I found this to be a really powerful exercise in my life. And so I was thinking this morning, what is my intention for this week. And I’d mentioned last week I had been in a training, you know, for a full week, it went like a Wednesday to a Tuesday and all through the weekend. And it was just jam packed. And I was working in the morning seeing clients and there’s been a lot going on. And I realized this weekend, I was trying to, you know, have a weekend rest and relax. But I also had things that I wanted to catch up on. And as Sunday started coming to an end, I was like, Oh, I wanted to get more done this weekend, I wanted to accomplish more. And even though I did a lot, and I worked some over the weekend, which work doesn’t really feel like work to me. And so I got that sorted to get that feeling sort of in my stomach, like I should have done more I should have focused, why did I lay around and read when I could have done this? or Why did I watch that show when I could have done this. And I realized that this week, my intention needs to be just upon progress just upon moving forward. And you know, taking those steps to make a shift so that every day I’m doing a little bit when we try to do so much and we put so much pressure on us. Or we think that we have to be perfect and that we have to do things perfectly. And we have to have space to do them perfectly. It never ever works out. Because there is no such thing as perfection, you’ll always find ways to improve and shift or could have done things differently. And so this week, I offer to you my intention, which is to strive for excellence, and excellence is really out doing my own best. So instead of looking outwardly, instead of saying this is a perfection, it’s an external attainment of something that’s, you know, mainly unattainable, it’s always on the horizon, right, you can never really get there, you can never meet the horizon. No matter how much you move forward, or how fast you go. It’s always out there. And so I want to bring excellence in into my life so that I am striving just to outdo what I did yesterday, to just do things a little bit better than I have done before, to just create in a little bit more flow. And if I’m need to relax, then I want to relax in a way that’s better than I relaxed yesterday. And how would I even do that? Well, yesterday, I was worrying a little bit about relaxing. And so today when I meditate, I want to be fully in it. I want to just experience what I’m going to experience when I’m doing this show and want to be fully in it. I want to be having this experience with you where I can imagine you listening and thinking about how you can attain your own excellence today. It’s not about being perfect. It’s just about showing up as the best version of you. And there have been times when I look back on m...
