#116 - Is This the End of Kona?

Lots to unpack this week with the news that Daniela Ryf has done a 'Lionel' and is out injured, endurance sports tv is crowdfunding and the PTO is supporting even more races. We also saw a number of races happen around the world with some of the biggest names in the sport lining up in Cairns for the Asia-Pacific Championship. We round-up all the professional racing then turn our eye to the age group race. 199 age group finishers competed for 75 Kona slots in Cairns and the internet has done what the internet does. This makes us ask the question? Is this the end of Kona? What do we mean? We mean, does this change people's opinions of racing Kona? Is it about getting the strongest field possible to line up or as many athletes on the pier as possible?
