Nedarim 26: (Some) Onions Are Good for the Heart

Talking Talmud - A podcast by Yardaena Osband & Anne Gordon

More on accidental vows. When part of the vow remains in force, but not all of it - depending on how much regret the person making the vow explains. Plus, a machloket about vows based on a machloket about designated sacrifices. Also, swearing people off something in a way that includes people because they are similar to others, in which case, the question becomes what happens to all of the people included if/when a vow is untied. Plus, an example of swearing off onions because of health concerns, which are then determined to be healthful... So that vow becomes null and void.
