Greetings Heathens and happy mom’s day to all those mothers out there. Today Eric Murphy is joined by our dear friend Dragnauct Sylvas! Welcome back Drag, it’s good to see you!

Let’s get to calls. The first caller is Gullapalli from Illinois. He is curious about whether or not the idea of a God is important. The conversation evolves whether religion is motivated by money and the economy. He then begins to argue for the usefulness of religion.

Next up, Paster Cole from North Carolina would like to talk about a previous episdode’s call about abortion and how he has problems with the idea that we should defer the conversation about abortion to folks with uteruses. Ooooof, this is a horrible call to make on Mother’s Day, I definitely think that was on purpose and definitely tone deaf. This is a live one folks, listen in for the rambling and a lot of gish gallops from Cole.
The following caller named Ellen from Michigan has some questions about human evolution and blood types for Drag. I understand some of the science explained, and this is fascinating. Tune in for some quick science talk!

The next caller in the queue is Adam from Florida who is wondering how to approach his wife’s more fervent belief after reading the Bible. He isn’t sure how to proceed. We definitely think going to couples’ counseling would be helpful in your situation.
Next up, Kathy in Pennsylvania would like to talk about sins, the afterlife, and punishment for those sins committed in this life. Her connection wasn’t great, hopefully she calls back!

Afterwards we have David from Israel. He would like to talk about the tri-omni Abrahamic God and how it’s preposterous. He sounds angry and possibly trying to look at this logically and rationally, maybe he needs a cookie.

Kathy in Pennsylvania would like to discuss hellfire and damnation for finite sins during this life. Anxiety, fear, and rumination of this also isn’t fair to the life you’re living now. Kathy would benefit from reaching out to folks at Secular Therapy Project: https://www.seculartherapy.org/ and the Recovering from Religion: https://www.recoveringfromreligion.org/ to deal with her religious trauma.
Our last caller of the day, Jesse in New Jersey has a question for Drag. He is wondering if the Ashkenazi Jews became a genetic trait or disposition for the Jewish faith due to their isolation and location. It’s an interesting topic, and Drag explains the science debunking it really well!

That’s the show today folks, please continue being safe, healthy, and we’ll see you all next time. Love to you all!
