S2 3: The Journey of a Woman's Right to Abortion with Erika Bachiochi

The Strong Women Podcast - A podcast by Colson Center - Wednesdays

Erika Bachiochi, a fellow at the Ethics in Public Policy Center and author of the book Rights of Women: Reclaiming a Lost Vision, is a legal scholar who shares her insightful thoughts on pro-life ethics and femininity. When Erika was in college, she considered herself to be a socialist and feminist. While Erika’s views have changed significantly over the years, she still calls herself a feminist, but now she is a pro-life feminist with a Christian worldview. Erika shares with us some of the history of feminism and abortion and how it affects what is going on in our world today.   Erika Bachiochi Show Notes   Ethics in Public Policy Center: https://eppc.org/  Rights of Women: Reclaiming a Lost Vision by Erika Bachiochi: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-rights-of-women-erika-bachiochi/1138489990?ean=9780268200824  Amicus Brief on the Dobbs vs. Jackson: https://eppc.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/24046-Collett-NEW-FINAL.pdf  Including Queer Sexuality Actually Means Excluding Women by Glenn Stanton: https://thefederalist.com/2021/05/11/including-queer-sexuality-actually-means-excluding-women/  Abigail Favale: https://abigailfavale.wixsite.com/home  Books by Mary Wollstonecraft: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/mary%20wollstonecraft  Finding Balance in Life video by Erika Bachiochi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoDw6R5mVf8  FC21 – The Dignity of the Sexed Body: Asymmetry, Equality, and Real Reproductive Justice video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIX62lhRYfE  Rights Talk: The Impoverishment of Political Discourse by Mary Ann Glendon: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/rights-talk-mary-ann-glendon/1126665071?ean=9780029118238  Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/aristotles-nicomachean-ethics-aristotle/1116802256?ean=9780226026756  Join Strong Women on Social Media: https://linktr.ee/strongwomencc  Erin and her husband, Brett, run Maven which “exists to help the next generation know truth, pursue goodness, and create beauty, all for the cause of Christ.” Check out more about Maven here: https://maventruth.com/   The Strong Women Podcast is a product of the Colson Center which equips Christians to live out their faith with clarity, confidence, and courage in this cultural moment.
