106. Turn On God's Power in You with Angelike Norrie

Strong. Confident. His. with Kim Dolan Leto - A podcast by Kim Dolan Leto - Tuesdays

Do you want to stop missing out on the success you’re praying for? Today I have a guest on the Strong. Confident. His. Podcast. Her name is Angelike Norrie and she is a happily married, work from home mom of three beautiful girls.  As a five time cover model, world renowned martial artist, and top corporate executive, she is no stranger to the spirit of ambition.  The constant chase for more goals and accomplishments often left her feeling empty and with a restless spirit. It wasn't more titles, accolades or fame that motivated her. Angelike shares advice for those who are struggling to get fit or fear chasing their dreams. Here’s a sample… Your success doesn’t come from a photoshoot, color palette, logo, or a well crafted post, and it doesn't come from being a watered-down version of a mentor. Your next big moment or move is not going to come through someone else’s handiwork, it will come from God and your radical obedience to carry out His assignment. Learn how to get what you’ve been praying for, press play. Scriptures and quotes to motivate you from this episode: If you think success is for others and God hasn’t equipped you, let this serve as a reminder: "For we are God’s masterpiece. (handiwork) He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10) You’re going to have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”  (Romans 5:3-5) If you feel guilt about success, don’t think you deserve it, or sabotage it, remember this...the victory is His. In our faithfulness, He is producing something beautiful in us.   “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.” (1 Peter 5:10) “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57) Remember You are Strong. Confident. His. Start today!
