Recently I asked the students in my Thriving Nursing Students Facebook group how COVID has affected clinical, their feelings toward clinical, and their outlook on their chosen profession. The results were eye-opening, inspiring, and yes, heartbreaking at times. In this episode I’m discussing the general themes and offering some insight and advice that I hope helps you feel better about your clinical experience, even with it changing so much due to the pandemic. Many of you have said you’re afraid you’ll be terrible nurses because your clinical hours have been so limited, and I just want you to know that you will NOT be terrible nurses. You are going to be some of the most resilient, resourceful and driven RNs to enter the workforce and I, for one, completely and totally believe in you.
