Arlene Phillips is a world-renowned Choreographer, Theatre Director and former judge on Strictly Come Dancing. She is a true showbiz legend, honoured as a CBE for her services to dance and charity. From creating the provocative dance group 'Hot Gossip' in the 1970's to working with stars from film, TV and theatre she really has done it all! Arlene is internationally recognised as a Choreographer and Director of some of the biggest selling West End and Broadway Musicals, as well as working with the likes of Whitney Houston and Elton John. She became a household name as an original judge on Strictly Come Dancing and Arlene is still going strong today, working in the world of theatre and looking after her lovely grandchildren.In this episode Arlene discusses some incredible moments, where a passing comment or just playing a piece of music, really did change the course of her life. From literally having a baby on roller-skates to getting her big break from a babysitting job, we chat about it all! Arlene speaks about becoming a mother later in life, and what a positive impact it's made.
