#183: God’s Grace for our Grief (Part 1) | God Help Me, I’m Grieving!

Saving Grace - A podcast by Grace School of Theology

Embracing Grief, Finding Hope No one is immune to loss  – whether you have lost a loved one, a friendship, a relationship, material possessions, a career, or even a decline in your health- you have been there.  And, with every loss, you will encounter grief, to one degree or another. The challenge is how to embrace your grief as normal and necessary for healing.  Over the next four episodes, we will talk to those who, like you, have experienced loss and grief, but have also found God’s comfort and healing in the process.  Our prayer is that you will be encouraged and find hope through these programs.    Our first guest in this series is 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫, a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in both the secular and Christian sectors of the mental health field for over 25 years.  Katherine earned her BA in Psychology from Spelman College, Her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas, and her Masters in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology. She is the author of God Help Me, I’m Grieving, Finding Healing after Loss based on her personal experiences with grief and healing.    This 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐎𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐃𝐄 is brought to you by Saving Grace, living in the light of God’s love.
