Sacred Remembering - A podcast by Sarah Poet

Episode 108! I am so grateful to Emily Goodson for coming onto the podcast and sharing her story! I was inspired by this episode before, during, and after. As a child, a brain injury left her partially paralyzed on one side of her body. She found, however, that her challenges only enhanced her ability to overcome difficult tasks through resilience and problem solving skills. We also talk about how the journey of resilience and adaptation resulted in an over-reliance on the right side of her body, which is the masculine side of the body. Anyone hear a metaphor there?? In this episode, Emily also talks about the Alpha (Masculine) and Omega (Feminine) aspects of her personal journey with body / mind / spirit in SUCH an inspiring way. Emily has learned from personal and professional experience that a person’s adversities are most often untapped potential, and she puts this into her work, challenging companies to utilize the full spectrum of employee possibility. Having built and led the Talent & People function for various high-growth companies, Emily now partners with organizations internationally through training, speaking, and advising engagements in her company Work Culture Smart.
