On today’s episode of Redefining Motherhood, I share an important lesson I've been learning about the power of our self-talk and how the stories we tell ourselves can greatly impact our happiness and life experiences. Through recent conversations with my coach and fellow mom friends, I've come to realize how much negative thoughts on repeat can steal our joy without us even realizing it. I had this recurring belief that I didn't belong in certain rooms or situations, even though there was no evidence of this. When my friend challenged me to examine where this was coming from, I realized it stemmed from childhood experiences of constantly feeling like an outsider when moving frequently. Reflecting deeper, I see how those past experiences likely ingrained feelings of unworthiness that I've carried into my adult life without even realizing it. I’m now focused on identifying any areas where I may be subconsciously playing negative thoughts on repeat, which may be holding me back. I want to encourage other moms going through similar experiences to reflect on how you can flip the script and start believing in your own worthiness. Remember, you deserve to live a life you love!
