Ok working moms, I think we can agree that parenting can be exhausting. And when you consider that it's the most important job that we have but have so many other things on our plates, it can be a challenge to try to give it our best all of the time. But what if it didn't have to be that way? In this episode, I am talking with parenting expert Rachel Bailey and she shares 3 tips on how to make parenting less exhausting while giving your kids exactly what they need. Rachel Bailey is a Parenting Specialist who has been serving families for over a decade. Besides being a mother of two, she also has a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, a certification in Positive Discipline, and has provided services as an ADHD Coach, in-home mentor, and therapist. Currently, Rachel teaches parents practical, longterm tools for raising responsible, resilient, confident children... while reducing the stress and guilt in parents' lives. Her tips: Tip 1: Shift your mindset about kids' behavior to save energy AND foster more responsible, respectful behavior Tip 2: Stop in-the-moment parenting; taking a few specific proactive steps will save time and increase kids' resilience and self-esteem Tip 3: Focus on "self-treatment" instead of "self-care." Self-treatment takes less time and has more impact on both you and your kids.
