Full House: S5E11: Nicky and/or Alexander (Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series)

Happy Friday Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I kick off the new Full House Series, Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents in Full House: S5E11: Nicky and/or Alex, which aired on November 19, 1991. In this episode back home from the hospital, Jesse can't tell his identical twin sons, Nicky and Alex, apart. Meanwhile, Danny likes his new, temporary co-host, Vicky Larson. I enjoyed this episode. Jesse is so determined to be the perfect dad that after he takes the color coded baby booties off his identical newborn twin sons feet and can't tell who is who, as well as dealing with Becky's "mood swings" or postpartum depression he decides to hide this fact from her until he can restore them to their rightful identity. I found out that there are many ways to tell your twins apart as babies and the color coding system is one of the ways, as well as distinguishing physical features such as birthmarks or if one is right handed and the other is left handed. I really wish they could have addressed Becky's postpartum depression in a better light instead of labeling it as "mood swings" or "acting crazy or nuts". That just seems insulting and disrespectful to those who are struggling, suffering or working their way through it. We get to meet Vicki Larson Danny's temporary Wake Up San Francisco co-host fill in for Rebecca while she's on maternity leave. I really dislike how Danny was mansplaining and talking down to her. Luckily he discovered she has won two Emmys for investigative reporting and was a News Anchor for 5 years and that basically shut him right up. Join me next week for the next episode in the series Full House S5E21: Yours, Mine and Ours, which aired on March 3, 1992. In this episode Jesse and Becky disagree on how to raise Nicky and Alex.
