141: Why We Started Taking A Sabbath
Now That We're A Family - A podcast by Elisha and Katie Voetberg
Categories:
Our Sabbath rest has been such a blessing in our home we're excited to share why we started taking one, what that looks like for our family, what is "allowed" and not "allowed" and how to practically rest with four toddlers and the mundane tasks of a household pausing for 24 hours! We'll do a Q&A at the end as to why we chose Saturday as our Sabbath day instead of Sunday, and whether or not we plan on celebrating other Jewish holidays. Side note: When I mentioned "communion" in this episode it was referring to the special bread and wine the Jewish community uses for their Shabbat dinners reminding me of communion in Christian services. Clearly, it's not communion. :) JOIN THE TOP 5 TUESDAY NEWSLETTER! (Elisha is hilarious . . . I promise you won't regret it.)https://www.nowthatwereafamily.com/top-5-tuesday-newletter
