Never Give Up Hope

Nouman Ali Khan - A podcast by Muslim Central

Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delves on the actions that we adopt after a sin has been committed.

The first thing is when we sin is that we’re disappointed with ourselves. That’s a matter of concern. It’s not something bad to be disappointed in oneself and to be sad about our sin. It’s actually a gift from Allah because it depicts the presence of a still intact conscience.  We should realize that Allah knows our sins and He has forgiven people that have crimes far more than us in the past. No matter how big a sin is, there should be a parable even about smaller sins and how they were sensitive to the smaller sins. We must know that no matter how big our sin is, Allah’s Mercy is still bigger. Our sin is not more powerful than we are and our sin doesn’t have control of us. Rather it is we who are in control.

How do we overcome this sense of hopelessness when it devours us? We must pray to Allah to open up our hearts and never allow us to lose hope in Allah and make us of those who become a source of hope for others. We should pray that Allah gives us an immense amount of Barakah to our genuine expectations of Him and give all of us the best in this life and the best in the next life.
