The Comfort Crisis

No Days Off with Brian Gubernick - A podcast by Brian Gubernick

In this episode, I share some of my takeaways from a book I recently read, 'The Comfort Crisis'. The author, Michael Easter, talks about how we have all become incredibly comfortable; everything we do in our world is easily accessible and we don't have to work very hard to survive - unlike our ancestors. We don't experience a great deal of uncomfort; we have become too comfortable.   This comfort that we are so used to hinders us from working hard or pushing through different challenges that life presents. We are accustomed to turning to our trusted technology devices to solve problems or save us from boredom.   We just don't spend enough time or energy surviving.   How do we introduce more uncomfortable things in our world? What can we do to get out of our comfort zone a bit more?   Today's challenge: What can you introduce in your world today to make you a little uncomfortable or requires you to exert more energy? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!    Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network
