64. Stop Caring What Others Think
No Days Off with Brian Gubernick - A podcast by Brian Gubernick
In this episode, I am discussing a topic that many of us can probably relate to, and might even be working on ourselves. However, rather than working on ourselves, I am focusing on how this topic pertains to our children. The topic: How to Stop Caring What Others Think My wife and I have two young daughters and as they are getting older, making more friends, and having more access to social media we have recognized that our girls can tend to get caught up in what others think of them. We have been working on how to coach and influence our girls on how to care less about what others think of them. Some of the areas we are working on include: Developing a healthy sense of self-esteem and confidence Recognizing their efforts and activities Modeling the behavior we expect of our kids Encouraging a diverse social circle Reminding our kids to focus on what they can control Today's focusing question: What can you do for your kids to help them care less about what other people think? If you don't have kids, are there people in your world that you can help overcome this and become more confident and resilient? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!
