Martial law declared and undeclared in South Korea

The President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol declared Martial Law in his country last night and quickly undeclared it after mass protests and a vote against martial law by the South Korean parliament. But why did the President declare it in the first place, and what’s next for South Korea? To explain all was John Everard, Former UK Ambassador to North Korea.
