Panthers defeat TB in Seth Jones' Debut, giving them a better chance at home ice in round one

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jackson Holzer(@JacksonH_52) to break down the Panthers 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was a big four-point swing game, and the Panthers new shiny toy in Seth Jones made his Panthers debut on the evening. The Panthers went on the penalty kill seven times, including once in the final minute where there was a close call at the end. Tampa controlled play in the first period, but was unable to get convert after getting multiple power plays. Panthers had jump to their step in the second period, resulting in two goals, both scored by Aleksander Barkov, one of them being on special teams. The Panthers got a huge kill on a double minor towards the end of the second, and although the Bolts got it to a one-goal game early in the third period, it was a tight defensive matchup that one inch could've made turned the game in a different direction, included a Lightning short handed breakaway chance by Bobrovsky and a clear at the netfront by Eetu Luostarinen shortly after the Bolts cut the deficit.
