Certain Results (And Trends) Continued in the Panthers' Up-And-Down Weekend

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the back-to-back against the Washington Capitals on the road and the Penguins at home. The Cats responded to every punch that Washington threw at them in the first 20 minutes, but failed to do so after the Cap scored two goals in 59 seconds to start the second period, and the game blew open from there as Washington would come out with a win and a sweep of the season series. The Panthers then welcomed Sidney Crosby and the Penguins to down on Sunday, where they were slow coming out of the gate, Pittsburgh outshooting Florida 16-4, but then the Panthers turned it on in the second period, falling down as much as 3-1, Sam Reinhart brought it to a one goal deficit in the second on the power play, and the Panthers only gave up 4 shot attempts in the third where they had Pittsburgh on their heels, eventually it broke with Anton Lundell getting his 16th of the season, and the Panthers found a way to win it in a shootout. Now the Panthers have four days of non-game action, which is a time to rest and recoup. There have been a few bumps, but the Panthers in the month of March are still banking points as they still have a hold on the Atlantic Division lead.
