Kate Colbert is a neurotypical wife to an Aspie husband, the “mom” to four beautiful dogs, and the founder and president of Silver Tree Market Research and its sister company Silver Tree Publishing. Her husband Robert was diagnosed first with ADD then with Asperger’s when he and Kate were in their early 40s. Together with her family, Kate lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin, just minutes from Lake Michigan, is a member of the President’s Leadership Council at Carthage College and is a former board member for A Safe Place, the region’s leading domestic violence prevention and response agency. Kate is also a passionate advocate for entrepreneurs with chronic illness or disability, is a strong believer that we can have fierce spirits inside frail bodies, and knows — beyond the shadow of a doubt — that some of the most beautiful relationships are forged and maintained between people whose vast differences make them seem an unlikely match. When they’re not working, Kate and Robert enjoy traveling, especially via cruise ship to warm-weather destinations.
