The UK is now drinking 50% less milk than they were in 1974, and almost a quarter of Britons are consuming plant-based milk alternatives as the popularity of vegan diets continues to grow. Yet there is still a lot confusion about dairy and soy milk when it comes to our health. Does soy affect our breast cancer risk? Does soy interfere with our hormones? We've heard many times dairy leaches calcium from our bones, is this true?  With so many misconceptions between soy and dairy, it's hard to differentiate between fact and fiction. In the first series of season 2, I speak to Dr Izzy Smith who is a medical doctor working in Sydney Australia, specialising in general internal medicine and endocrinology aka the study of hormone health.
