Life's Best Medicine Podcast - A podcast by Dr. Brian Lenzkes - Wednesdays

Thank you for tuning in for another episode of Life’s Best Medicine. Dan Go is an entrepreneur and personal trainer. He has been working out for 20 years and has been the owner of Go Fitness for more than 11 years. During that time, he has tested all different kinds of methods for getting healthy and in shape and is still in the trenches even now testing new methods to help people transform their bodies. Dan shares a bit about his later childhood as a self-described “screw up” who ate junk food, got drunk, played video games, and was generally lazy. His discovery of fitness and the passing of his mother were the catalysts that got him started on a better path in life. In their conversation, Brian and Dan talk about individual purpose and knowing your unique calling in life, the trap of the ‘Golden Handcuffs,’ the importance of prioritizing excellence and integrity even over profit if you wish to achieve success as an entrepreneur, focusing more on the clients you have rather than always scheming about how to attract new ones, and the trickle down benefits that often result from getting in shape and getting healthy. Any sacrifice of integrity—even the smallest amount—is not a worthwhile trade even for a huge short-term profit. Rather being motivated by personal gain, learn to be motivated by helping others and seeking to improve their lives. This will bring greater success and fulfillment to you and to others! Life’s Best Medicine according to Dan: “Protect your mind. Protect the information that you let into your mind. Your thoughts will be your reality so be hyper-protective of your mind. Make your body as in-shape as humanly possible. Treat it with respect. It is the vehicle through which we live out this life. Family, friends, and community are what make life awesome. I don’t care about parties and I don’t really care about meeting new people. I actually care about going deep with my very close friends and my family unit.” Thank you for listening.
