Avoid information overload- become a lover of repetition. Work on a small handful of material over and over again, rather than learn a lot of material over a short period.

Ration your review time vs. practicing things you suck at or new material. Use 50-50 as a guideline.

You have to be consistent with your practicing. This is not a new idea, but it's an important idea. Consistent practicing compounds results.
