Salote Tukuafu | Letting God Be in Charge

Salote Tukuafu from Tonga, a member of the Primary General Advisory Council, shares lessons she learned from her childhood about being faithful, being kind, and being generous. She tells the inspiring story of her grandfather’s conversion to the restored gospel and the legacy of faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ he built for his family. Sister Tukuafu describes her responsibilities on the advisory council, and the interfaith efforts she’s been involved with to address various social issues. She also shares the difficulties her family experienced when her husband was diagnosed with leukemia when their children were very young, and how she learned the importance of letting God be in charge of our lives.
