Pandemic Pushes Hospitals to Brink of Catastrophe

1,200 Medical Workers Deployed to Respond to Pandemic The extra staff includes more than 800 contract workers, but those workers are from the same pool that a lot of hospitals around the state already pull from to get extra help.
