Reflexion is the ability to see your true self mirrored back to you. Unfortunately, we spend most of our lives using the mirror as a way to judge the imperfections in our appearance, which is a limited and biased perception of who we are. By changing how we see our reflection, we can expand and transform our vision to include the beauty of our true selves. Amber Rice is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, facilitator, educator, speaker, writer, and activist. Amber has been a mental health provider for over 25 years, with her roots in social work and non-profit, community-based services. Amber’s areas of specialization include trauma, disordered eating, body shame and weight bias, and her Seattle-based private practice supports clients from around the world. Her counseling framework is highly relational and informed by social justice, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and radical self-compassion models.  Amber is an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor and she provides clinical supervision, education, and training to other therapists on topics including countertransference, body politics, anti-fat bias and weight bias in the helping professional fields. www.amberrice.orginstagram: @amberricelmft TikTok: amberricelfmt ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
