Volunteering as peer educator in her teens Meg has first-hand knowledge of the idea of nurture. The Body Love Card “Nurture” means to provide true nourishment for our bodies, minds and souls. When we become more present and aware of our needs, it is easier to define what feels good to our bodies and selves, and what is nourishing to us. When we stop hating ourselves and start practicing loving kindness, it is easier to take care ourselves in nurturing ways. Margaret (Meg) Burton is the Southern California Regional Program Manager at Bring Change to Mind, a national non-profit co-founded by Glenn Close that works to decrease stigma surrounding mental illness. She is also the founder of Heartlines Yoga, yoga designed specifically for teens, as well as a staff member for the summer program at The American School in Switzerland. In her free time Margaret loves traveling, reading, hiking, adventuring, drinking coffee, and practicing yoga. You can find her on instagram at @heartlinesyoga. ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
