Dive in and see what is the difference between both and find out how you can evolve to make a change.“Growth within can shift this world towards peace”What Seane’s life would be like without community and yoga: (00:17:41)Community and yoga are very important to Seane and she is convinced that her life would have gone in many other undesired directions without them. In the community she was very fortunate to come across “disguised angels” that helped her find her a practice and her path. Discover how both Seane’s personal and professional life have thrived and why sometimes it is convenient for her to stay away from the community.“Community is everything to me and at the same time, I have to stay away from it” Awareness of different opportunities: (00:22:35) Seane talks about the importance of perception and choice. There are many things we cannot change but we can change the perception to what is in a way that empowers our growth and builds our capacity for empathy and compassion.“There is not a single experience that can not open you to the depth of your love” The importance of holding ourselves accountable to our privileges (00:28:17)Seane recommends if you want to dismantle the systems that create oppression, you've got to dismantle the systems that exist within yourself. She firmly believes that our reactive behaviour comes from inherited belief systems passed down from generation to generation that haven't been reconciled, and shares what we should do in order to change it.“I can change racism within by bearing witness to it, breathing deep and making a new choice”How Seane takes advantage of her privilege to help others: (00:37:22) Seane thinks that the best she can do with her privilege and platform is provide people with real education, tools of integration to be able to deal with what comes up emotionally, and a reframe in their way of understanding so they can stand in the presence of difference without judging. She refers to everything being connected to yoga.“It is about us getting reeducated to be able to show up in our service with more humility”Seane’s book:Revolution of the Soul: Awaken to Love Through Raw Truth, Radical Healing, and Conscious Action: https://amz.run/3cM2 Mentioned resources “Disguised angels”:Sharon Gannon - David Life> Jivamukti Yoga Eddie Stern> Ashtanga YogaConnect with Seane:Website: https://www.seanecorn.com/ Revolution Within - Seane’s safe space for emotional transformational work https://seanecorn.com/online-classes/ Off the Mat, Into the World - Seane’s organization training leaders worldwide in social change: https://www.offthematintotheworld.org/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SeaneCorn/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/seanecorn/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/SeaneCornYoga Join the Inspired Evolution Community:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/InspiredEvolution/    Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/InspiredEvo/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/InspiredEvolution/  Website: https://inspiredevolution.com/ Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/inspiredevolution.
