35. Dieting vs. Following a Diet

I spent most of my life focusing solely on how I looked and what other people thought of me. I ate when and what the “experts” told me to, and it led me to being the most unhealthy version of myself possible.   Then I moved into rejecting the diet industry and embracing intuitive eating. For years I was motivated to heal my relationship with food and my body. After a couple years of doing this I was ready to learn how my body actually works and become an intentional eater- eating to feel good, which sometimes meant pizza and sometimes meant protein.   Today I am in the middle of a very strict Candida clean out protocol- and some of the rules are very similar to those I used to follow while in my serial dieting phase.
