Even on the best of days, family can be complicated....On this episode we dive head first into a strong debut feature that has flourishes to it that we can all relate to.  It's time for 'Juniper'.Ruth (Charlotte Rampling) is a worldly former war correspondent now bored in retirement with a drinking problem and a newly fractured leg. Sam (George Ferrier) is her unruly grandson, recently kicked out of boarding school and grieving the death of his mother. When the two are brought together under the same roof, they form an unexpected bond.A debut feature with a surprising amount of heart and nuance, we have  to admit that Juniper actually caught us off guard a little bit.  That being said we jumped at the chance to talk with writer/director Matthew J Saville about the origins of the story, working with the indomitable Charlotte Rampling and so very much more.Juniper is in theatres now....
