Mark has been into sound and music since a young age and spent years as a musician, composer and record producer, working with bands and artists such as Simply Red, Sinead O'Connor, Sly & Robbie, Jah Wobble and Brian Eno before making the transition to sound mixing for TV. Over the years he's dubbed a huge amount of TV shows, from drama to factual. Dramas such as Doctor Who, Being Human, Wizards vs Aliens & Casualty and factual shows such as Human Planet Coast and Crash Detectives. In this interview we talk about his life in music and his career as a dubbing mixer, the challenges that come with the job, working from home during the current global health crisis to advice for those who are looking to get into the industry.
