Jaymie Parkkinen is an experienced improviser, clown and teacher in Los Angeles. He’s trained, performed and taught all over the world. He’s half of the improv duo, The Park, and cohost of The Comedy Fix podcast, a show dedicated to questioning the rules of performance. Jaimy and I met last summer during the Annoyance Intensive course. And met again at Sweden Improv Festival. In this episode Jaimy and I talk about the importance of doing what you want from the beginning, to trust that nothing needs to happen and to just build, heightening and explore. We're talking about surprise, simplicity and repetition, about emotions and to have an authentic relationship with the audience and going further faster. We are also talking about the lab, duos and to not do the bullshit you don't enjoy.
