Episode 11: Gael Doorneweerd-Perry on Improv-professionalism

Impropodden - A podcast by Hjalmar Hardestam - Sundays

Categories:

Gael Doorneweerd-Perry is the co-founder of Flock Theatre, Anananas & Pampamplemousse, as well as the SIN, a European network of improvisers, and he is now Artistic Director of IMPRO Amsterdam. He loves travelling and creating formats to explore and share his vision of improv: both physical and noisy, kind and silly, full of emotions and slightly crazy. Me and Gael talk about to prepare everything around the show but not the show itself. We talk about artistic freedom vs commercialism, impro-hierarchies, to make deliberate choices, differences between improvisers and corporate trainers. That being a good performer isn't equal being a good teacher. And to have the opportunity to learn directly from Lionel Messi.
