In this episode I catch up with country music singer Meg Doherty we chat about the lies some of us tell ourselves and others when our drinking has got out of control and the shame that surrounds that. At the peak of Meg's drinking she was drinking daily a bottle of vodka and a bottle of wine. The shame and guilt she was feeling from the amount she was consuming created secrecy and then lying became part of her daily practice. Meg joined the 12 step program to boot the booze. She is now channelling her energy into her sobriety, motherhood and her music. We talk about forgiveness, meditation, and the importance of working her program. To check out Meg's music on Spotify go to https://open.spotify.com/artist/6jJZeRG26xtfzkKpYIxlsX?si=n1K4IVf9QHi3ME2zX6hM6wWebsite https://www.megdoherty.com/Instagram meg_doherty_musicThis episode was brought to you by Monday Distillery.
