Tougher sentencing laws are on the way for offenders. The Justice Minister has outlined a suite of reforms to be introduced into Parliament in the next few months. Situations where victims are working alone, including dairies, will now be considered an aggravating factor in sentencing, and reductions for mitigating factors will be capped at 40 percent.
