19. From Ministry to Marketplace: A Journey of Faith in Papua New Guinea

God on the Move Podcast - A podcast by Lausanne Movement - Wednesdays

In this episode of "God on the Move," Barton Maino recounts his journey from being in full-time ministry to being a witness for God in the secular sphere in Papua New Guinea (PNG). After graduating from university, he dreamt of entering the working world and making it big. But God had different plans: for him to join the PNG Bible Translation Association. What Barton didn't know was that he would indeed be part of the marketplace, but this time to serve as a bridge between secular businesses and ministries. And his work bore fruit: in his new role within a local mining company, he successfully secured the largest donation ever received by the PNG Bible Translation Association from within the country.   If you are a Christian seeking to discover stories of how God moves in different parts of the world, then this podcast is for you.   Links from the interview: PNG Bible Translation Association If you would like to help us improve our podcast, please send us your feedback.   Barton Maino: Barton was born in Rigo, a district of Central Province in Papua New Guinea.
