The weekend kicked off with Borussia Dortmund’s dramatic 4-2 victory over Bochum, which did little to dispel concerns over Nuri Sahin’s tactics and ability to get the best out of his squad. St Pauli once again made headlines, but this time in a good sense after a somewhat surprising win over Freiburg and the duo eplain why a win for Alexander Blessin’s side may have been a long time coming. But, to little doubt, the biggest discussion of the weekend revolved around Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen. Were Xabi Alonso’s team truly humbled by their hosts and forced to stay in their own half for much of the game, or did they perform a canny strategy to leave Munich with an all-important point?
