Gideon "Weapons That Work" | Part 1 | Pastor Javon Ruff

Free Chapel Spartanburg - A podcast by Free Chapel Spartanburg

Key Scripture: Judges 6:11-18 Introduction: One of satan's greatest fears is that the Body of Christ really understand who we are and what we carry, and what we are all about. The worst thing that can happen to believers and the Body of Christ is to have been given victory but yet living in defeat.  Weapons That Work: Power of The Holy Spirit (Judges 6:34, John 16:7) - Anytime we depend on our own strength and ability, we're living in the limitations of our own flesh.  We have the weapon of The Holy Spirit, and The Holy Spirit in our life automatically puts us in the place of advantage. Sword of The Spirit (Ephesians 6:17, Judges 8:18-21) - The sword of The Spirit is the word of God. Don't speak your mind, speak God's word. The word has always been meant to be in your hand and in your heart. Prayer (1 John 5:14-15, Acts 12:5) - It still works. The power of prayer and an altar in the home keeps the devil out. Community and Connection (Ecclesiastes 4:12) - Sometimes we need backup. This is one of the most neglected weapons that the Body of Christ has. We were not made to do life by ourselves. We need each other. There's power in our connection. Obedience (Judges 7:16, John 14:15) - Your love for Jesus is demonstrated by how you obey Him. To truly continue to walk in victory, requires us to live in the lordship of Jesus Christ. Final Thoughts: When it comes to our families, strongholds do not have to be dominant. Cycles can be broken, bondages can be loosed. Peace, joy, and tranquility can fill our homes, but what we cannot do is be ignorant of the wiles of the enemy and not know about the weapons we poses. Free Chapel's mission is to inspire people to live for Jesus. We're one church with multiple locations, led by Pastor Jentezen Franklin.
