The Treasure of the Sierra Madre / Four Roses

Film And Whiskey - A podcast by Bob Book and Brad Gee - Tuesdays

Categories:

Bob and Brad revisit the absolutely beloved, and yet still somehow underseen, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. This is a movie that casts a long shadow: it might be the quintessential American "adventure" movie. And it also features some freaking insane performances from Humphrey Bogart and Walter Huston.

The guys discuss those performances, as well as that of Tim Holt, who, in his own quiet way, might be the best performer in the whole thing.

Meanwhile, thanks to their Instagram friend @bourbon_in_college, they try out a flagship bourbon from one of America's favorite lines: Four Roses Yellow Label. For $20, it's hard to beat the value on this one, but does it stand up to other, more expensive bourbons?

Also, this week's intro is all about some exciting updates to the podcast, including that we've been picked up by a network: Robots Radio!
