Simrat Kaur is a psychologist and a new mom to a baby boy. After completing her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Ontario, she completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology at Irvine. Simrat Kaur has a particular interest in social psychology which is the study of the behaviour of individuals in their social and cultural setting. Join us as we discuss her experiences as a psychologist and focus on the importance of understanding mental health and how culture affects one’s view. In particular, we’ll talk about the stigma attached to mental health and therapy in the South Asian and Punjabi Sikh communities.
