Episode 31 is entitled "Come Hell or Highlander." How many of you remember the 1986 cult classic film, Highlander? Highlander was directed by Russell Mulcahy and based on a story written by Gregory Widen. Christopher Lambert plays a sword wielding immortal Scottish warrior named Connor McCloud who must face off against a murderously brutal Krugan barbarian (played by Clancy Brown) who lusts for the fabled "Prize". The movie also stars Sean Connery and Roxanne Hart. The immortals do not know why they live forever, but they do know that they must battle each other for control of mankind. The only way to kill an immortal is to cut its head off. What if i told this Movie is becoming less science fiction and more science fact.Episode 11 of Event Horizon is entitled "Fountain of Youth – All Hail the New Greek Gods." In the episode, I document how billionaires are trying to achieve god status through immortality. I thought they were years from achieving their goal, but now, The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has developed a new life form that regenerates itself and DARPA has plans to use it on humans – which would essentially make Super Soldiers immortal.
