Shorties 20: Me At The Zoo

Documenteers: The Documentary Podcast - A podcast by Bob Sham & Friends

Categories:

Hey there, Doccalo. Welcome to May’s last “Shorties” episode. Bob and Angela discuss a video that may not seem like much, but it’s a big deal in internet video history. “Me at the Zoo” by Jawed Karim is more than just a passively silly, seemingly pointless, YouTube video. It also happens to be the very first video ever loaded onto the YouTube website. Also, it’s really informative because Jawed takes the entire 19 seconds to explain everything he knows about the elephants that he’s standing in front of. Did you know that elephants have really long trunks? This is Jawed’s only video. He doesn't even have a picture for his YouTube profile. This episode also passes the torch to Angela who is hosting all the main episodes for the month of June where we celebrate LGBTQ docs for Pride month. Bob has big news that will change the Documenteers forever. Let’s just say that the Doccalos may be taking some very important steps toward global control. More info to cum. See you in June.
