It’s the end of the age, doc fanatics! The rainbow wigged prophets will tell you it’s all going down soon! The end of the world that is. What other reason would you have for pointing a gun at other human beings? April Fools, Doccalos! I guess the trick is that you can't really find this documentary anywhere. Stuart’s vague recollection of this film led him to purchase it online for $374. A deep cut from Academy Award nominated director Sam Green. This is the story of a man who was once one of the most culturally recognizable in the United States. We’re discussing the documentary film “Rainbow Man / John 3:16”. Television obsessed marijuana salesman, Rollen Stewart, used to go to sporting events in a big rainbow-colored afro wig and dance around not looking like a giant dork at all. Then he started carrying around signs with bible verses on them. Specifically, John 3:16. Then he planted some stink bombs. Then he got a gun. I would say the rest is history, but this weird aspect of 80’s culture is quickly fading from social memory. Regardless, the visual image of Rollen will still occasionally find its way into pop culture. A movie of its time about a man of his time. Stuart and Bob proselytize all about it. Another episode where Bob says the word “sociopath”. The total sociopath count is at 112. Apologies to actual psychologists.
