While vacationing in Alaska, scientist Roger Summers stumbles upon frozen animals in the woods. Confused, Roger asks a reclusive environmentalist whose warnings of severe global freezing were rebuffed by the scientific community to come out of retirement. Together, they realize that a freezing storm is gaining strength and will soon cover the entire planet.
