n this episode, I had the honor of speaking with two extraordinary individuals whose lives have been shaped by the Holocaust: Dana Arschin, granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor and Emmy award winner, and Leo Ullman, a Holocaust survivor and author. Throughout the interview, Dana shares the stories of her grandfather, lovingly referred to as "poppy," who survived the horrors of Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen. Leo also shares his own harrowing experience of surviving the Holocaust by going into hiding with his “war family”. Leo is also the author of “796 days” and is a MARINE “Semper Fi”. Despite the unspeakable atrocities that they endured, both Dana's "poppy" and Leo exemplify a spirit of resilience and courage that continues to inspire generations. Leo, a distinguished Harvard graduate turned lawyer and Marine, shares how his experiences during the Holocaust shaped his life and worldview. As we listen to their stories, we are reminded of the importance of bearing witness to the past and ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten. Join us as we hear from these two remarkable individuals and learn more about their journey from survivors to generations.
